The rules of the road for using DateSafe, written to be actually readable.
Acceptance
By creating an account or using DateSafe, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to use DateSafe. By signing up you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Acceptable use
DateSafe is for personal safety planning. It is not a review or rating service for other people, and you may not use it to harass, surveil, or harm anyone.
Not an emergency service
DateSafe helps you alert your trusted circle and provides quick access to 911. It does not guarantee a response and is not a dispatcher. If you are in danger, call 911 immediately.
Trusted-contact text messages
A DateSafe user may send a one-time invitation only after confirming that the intended trusted contact agreed to receive it by text. The recipient can accept or decline. After accepting, the contact may receive safety-session, check-in, location-sharing, and urgent alert messages initiated by the DateSafe user. Message frequency varies with the user's sessions and actions. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out of DateSafe text messages. Reply START to opt back in or HELP for help. You can also contact support@getdatesafe.app. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase, and DateSafe text messages are not marketing messages.
DateSafe Plus subscriptions
DateSafe Plus is an auto-renewing subscription offered as DateSafe Plus Monthly for one month or DateSafe Plus Annual for one year. Your localized price is shown in the app before purchase. Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day free trial.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID on iOS or Google Play account on Android when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the selected period unless you cancel it in the applicable store's subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple or Google handles billing, cancellation, and applicable refunds for purchases made through its store.
Use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. Android purchases are also subject to the applicable Google Play terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use after notice means you accept the revised terms.
